Description:

Debuted in Ricketts’s circus on May15, 1793. He initially performed as “clown to the horsemanship.” His repertoire included tumbling and juggling. As Ricketts shifted his focus from equestrian feats to pantomimes, M’Donald undertook roles in various productions. At his benefit performance on April 16, 1796, Mr. M’Donald bid farewell to the Ricketts’s Circus.
